Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. potatoes, cut in 1-inch cubes
    2 medium onions, sliced
    3/4 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. butter
Preparation
    Combine potatoes, onions, water, salt, garlic salt, oregano and pepper in a large saucepan.
    Cover; bring to a boil, then simmer until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
    Mash potatoes slightly.
    Add milk and butter.
    Heat thoroughly.
    Serve.
