Chili Bake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 tsp. shortening
1 small onion, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
2 Tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 small green pepper, chopped
cornbread batter
Preparation

Melt shortening in large skillet.
Add onion, green pepper and beef; brown lightly.
Add tomatoes with juice to mixture in skillet.
Add kidney beans, chili powder, salt and pepper; mix well.
Pour into a 2-quart casserole.
Top with cornbread mixture and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
