Chicken Rice Casserole(Serves 4 To 8) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cut up chicken breast
    1 c. cooked rice
    1 c. diced celery
    1/2 c. raw onion
    1 can drained water chestnuts, sliced
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. sliced mushrooms (optional)
    8 oz. slivered almonds
    salt and pepper to taste
    3 c. cornflakes, crushed
Preparation
    Saute celery; add chicken and cook until chicken turns white, then brown.
    Combine all ingredients to mix, except for cornflakes.
    Place in an 8 1/2 x 11-inch greased baking dish. Sprinkle with cornflakes and bake for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
