Broiled London Broil With Purple Plum Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. London broil
    2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
    3 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1/2 tsp. crumbled oregano
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    1/4 tsp. each: salt and coarsely ground pepper
    1 lb. can purple plums
    1 Tbsp. light brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2-inch fresh ginger
Preparation
    Score the steak quite deeply with a sharp knife all the way down its length on the diagonal, about every 1/2-inch.
    Turn steak around and repeat, scoring in opposite direction, so score marks become little squares.
