Tennessee Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    5 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 lb. candied cherries (red or green)
    1 lb. candied pineapple (red or green)
    4 c. pecans
Preparation
    Mix butter, eggs, sugar, lemon juice and vanilla together. Mix together the flour, baking powder, fruits and pecans.
    Add this to butter mixture.
    Pour into tube pan.
    Place in a cold oven; bake at 250\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours.
