Beef Bourguignonne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. beef cubes
    1/2 c. (4 oz. can) drained, sliced mushrooms
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 green pepper, cut into 1-inch squares
    1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. beef mushroom soup mix or beef onion (Lipton)
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. red wine
Preparation
    In large fry pan,
    brown meat in butter.
    Add mushrooms and onion; continue
    browning
    until
    tender.
    Add
    remaining ingredients except wine.
    Simmer,
    stirring
    frequently, until sauce thickens.
    Add red wine; continue simmering for 15 to 20 minutes until meat is
    tender.
    Serve over buttered noodles or rice.
