Green Peas And Onions - cooking recipe

1 (No. 303) can white onions
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
seasonings
butter
Preparation

Slice large ripe tomatoes in 1/2-inch rounds or wedges and place in a large, flat pan or dish one layer deep.
Sprinkle generously with salt, coarsely ground pepper and crumbled oregano. Carefully pour oil so that tomatoes are just covered.
Place in refrigerator until ready to serve.
Allow at least 1 hour to marinate.
