Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lbs. peeled, ripe tomatoes
    6 peeled onions
    2 hot, red peppers
    4 green peppers
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    4 c. vinegar
    4 tsp. whole cloves
    4 tsp. whole all-spice
    4 3-inch sticks cinnamon
Preparation
    Chop tomatoes, onions, and peppers very fine. Then add sugar, salt, and vinegar.
    Add spices tied in a cheesecloth bag.
    Cook slowly uncovered for 2 hours until thick. Remove spice bag.
    Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
    Makes 4 pints.
