Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. oats
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg and oats; beat well. Sift flour, salt and soda.
    Blend into first mixture.
    Chill dough.
    Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
    Dip in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
    Bake on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
