Minted Chocolate Pears(Microwave) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 small pears
    10 (7 oz.) pkg. chocolate covered mint patties
    1/4 c. cream
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water and vanilla in glass baking dish. Microwave, covered, on High for 5 minutes or until mixture boils. Peel and core pears; cut into halves.
    Place in hot mixture. Microwave on High for 2 minutes.
    Microwave on Medium for 5 minutes until pears are tender.
    Cool.
    Combine mint patties and cream in a small glass bowl; microwave on Medium for 2 minutes or until mints are melted.
    Mix well.
    Drain pears; place in serving dishes.
    Top with chocolate mint sauce.
    Serve with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
    Yields 4 servings.
