Bird'S Nest - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg, separated
1 c. flour
3/4 c. chopped almonds
raspberry jam or preserves
Preparation

Cream butter; add next 3 ingredients and egg yolk.
Beat until light; add flour.
Mix well.
Wrap dough in waxed paper and chill. Make into 1-inch balls.
Dip into lightly beaten egg white.
Roll in almonds.
Grease cookie sheet.
Press center and fill with raspberry jam.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
