Boston Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
    2 (15 oz. each) cans pinto beans
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. tomato ketchup
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 Tbsp. Dijon style mustard
    1/2 tsp. powdered ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Slice bacon into 1/2-inch strips.
    Combine bacon, onion and garlic in a 1-quart microwave-safe dish.
    Microwave at High power for 5 minutes or until onion is soft.
    Drain beans.
    Add beans and remaining ingredients to onion mixture.
    Microwave covered with waxed paper at High power for 7 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking time.
    Makes 4 servings.
