Juicy Roast Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 1/2 lb.) chicken
    3 c. water
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 onion, chopped
    1/2 c. sherry
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine all except chicken.
    Bring to boil.
    Add whole chicken, cover and cook 10 minutes.
    Remove pan from heat.
    Let stand 20 minutes.
    Remove chicken from liquid.
    Place on rack and roast at 375\u00b0 about 40 to 50 minutes or until done.
