Dixie Okra Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 1 lb. okra
    2 ripe tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 onion, chopped
    2 garlic cloves, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    2 celery stalks, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 c. boiling water
    rice
Preparation
    Heat oil and stir in flour; lightly brown onion, garlic, green pepper and celery.
    When onion is clean, add okra, tomatoes, salt and pepper.
    Stir and add 2 cups boiling water.
    Cook for 45 minutes and serve over rice.
