Ruby Wine Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. water
    3/4 c. sugar
    6 cinnamon sticks
    1 qt. cranapple juice, chilled
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    dash of salt
    2 c. Burgundy, chilled
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine sugar, water, cinnamon sticks, cloves and salt.
    Boil.
    Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes.
    Strain spices.
    Add to liquid and chill.
    Yield:
    7 cups.
