My Mom'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. cocoa
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. hot water
Preparation
    Mix as usual, adding the hot water last. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes. Use chocolate buttercream frosting for the icing.
