Grandmie'S Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
    1 3/4 c. sugar, divided
    1 c. flour
    3/4 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 (29 oz.) can yellow cling sliced peaches in heavy syrup, drained
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In an 8 x 12-inch baking pan, melt butter.
    In large bowl or in blender container, combine 1 cup sugar, flour, milk and baking powder.
    Mix well.
    Pour mixture over butter in baking pan; do not stir.
    Arrange peaches on top.
