Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small pkg. vanilla pudding (not instant)
    1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Combine pudding mix, brown sugar, milk and butter in medium size heavy saucepan.
    Heat slowly, stirring often until sugar dissolves, then cook without stirring until it forms a soft ball in cold water.
    Remove from heat; stir in pecans.
    Let cool slightly, then stir with wooden spoon until mixture starts to thicken.
    Drop by tablespoon on wax paper.
