Cold Oven Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon
Preparation

Cream butter and Crisco well.
Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition.
Sift together flour and baking powder.
Add flour alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour, beating well after each.
Add vanilla or lemon.
Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
Turn oven to bake at 325\u00b0.
Do not preheat oven.
Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
