Aunt Angie'S Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon, cut finely
    1 onion, minced
    3 potatoes, diced
    1 pt. milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    12 saltine crackers, crushed
    1 (7 oz.) can minced clams
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    In a large kettle, fry bacon crisp. Add onion and let fry a few minutes, then add potatoes and cover with water.
    Let boil until tender. Add butter, milk and crackers.
    When hot, add clams, salt and pepper.
    Heat 5 minutes.
    Do not boil. Serve at once.
