Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. scalded milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 egg yolks
    1/2 c. shredded coconut
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Add sugar, cornstarch and salt to eggs.
    Pour scalded milk into this.
    Put in double boiler.
    Stir and cook until thickened.
    Add butter, coconut and vanilla.
    Put in pie shell.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 until crust is set, then reduce to 325\u00b0.
