Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cooled pastry shell
    1 qt. strawberries
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    red food coloring
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Mash 1/2 of the strawberries well.
    Add cornstarch and salt, then water.
    Cook mixture until thick and transparent; cool.
    Add remaining strawberries to the cooked filling.
    Pour into cooled crust.
    Garnish with whipped cream.
