Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes, diced
    1 small onion, diced
    salt and pepper
    2 c. milk
    1/2 stick butter
Preparation
    Cook potatoes
    and onion in enough water to cover, with salt and pepper, until
    almost done. Add milk and butter. Cook until done, stirring
    often. Can be thickened with cornstarch, if desired.
