Pork Chop Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 pork chops
    3 c. sliced potatoes
    1 c. sliced carrots
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 can cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup
    1 c. water
    1/4 tsp. thyme
Preparation
    Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
    Brown on both sides in a skillet.
    In a 9 x 13-inch pan, layer the vegetables and pour soup over.
    Remove chops from pan, remove fat from skillet and add water to rinse and scrape particles from bottom of skillet.
    Pour this over vegetables.
    Sprinkle with thyme.
    Place chops on top. Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    If chops get too brown during cooking, cover with glass lid or foil.
