Ingredients

1/2 c. egg whites (4 medium)
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 c. (7 oz. pkg.) flaked coconut
Preparation

In large mixer bowl, beat egg whites until soft mounds form. Gradually add 1/4 cup sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
Fold in 1 cup sugar and remaining ingredients carefully, half at a time, until thoroughly blended.
