Creamed Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk or cream
    1 jar already prepared cooked onions or 1 1/2 lb. small white onions, peeled
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Cook onions in boiling salted water 20 minutes if using fresh onions.
    Drain onions; add milk, margarine or butter, salt and pepper.
    Heat over low heat until hot.
