Lasagna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1 tsp. basil leaves
    3 c. (24 oz.) cottage cheese
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    1 tsp. oregano leaves
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles, cooked and well drained
    3/4 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Cook and stir ground beef, onion and garlic in large saucepan or Dutch oven until meat is brown and onion is tender.
    Add tomatoes; break up with a fork.
    Stir in tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons parsley flakes, the sugar, 1 teaspoon salt and the basil.
    Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
    Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour, or until mixture is the consistency of spaghetti sauce.
