Asparagus-Egg Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh asparagus
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. uncooked egg noodles
    pinch of cayenne pepper
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 ??? flour
    1 1/3 c. milk
    5 to 6 hard-boiled eggs
    1 c. grated or cubed Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Wash and trim asparagus.
    Cook in unsalted, boiling water until almost tender.
    Drain the spears, reserving liquid.
    Add 3 cups water to liquid and bring to a boil.
    Stir in egg noodles and cook until limp but still slightly firm.
    Drain well.
