Twentieth Century Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 eggs (save out 2 whites for frosting)
2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco or butter
3/4 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. cake flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon extract or any flavoring desired
Preparation

Cream well the Crisco and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Add milk and flour alternately. Add flavoring. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour in tube pan.
If desired, this can be used for cupcakes or layers.
Adjust time accordingly.
