Cecile Foresman'S Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 c. celery
    1 red onion
    1 green pepper
    1 can green peas
    1 Tbsp. sugar (over the peas)
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. grated cheese
    1 small jar Bac*Os
    cut up boiled eggs or avocado, dipped in lemon juice
Preparation
    Make 1 to 2 days ahead and let set, covered, in refrigerator.
