Perfect Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. salad oil or cooking oil
Preparation
    Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Stir in corn meal.
    Add eggs, milk and shortening.
    Beat with rotary or electric mixer until smooth, about 1 minute.
    Pour into greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake in hot oven (425\u00b0) for 20 to 25 minutes. For sticks, spoon batter into pans, filling 2/3 full.
    Bake in hot oven at 425\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until brown.
