Crispy Crunch Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. tiny marshmallows
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    5 c. crisp rice cereal or round toasted oat cereal
    1 c. raisins, peanuts, sunflower seeds or snipped gumdrops (optional)
Preparation
    Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan with foil.
    Butter the foil. In a large saucepan, melt marshmallows and 3 tablespoons butter or margarine over low heat, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in vanilla. Stir in half of the cereal at a time.
    Fold in raisins, peanuts, sunflower seeds, nuts or snipped gumdrops if desired.
    Turn mixture into prepared pan.
    Press evenly with the back of wooden spoon or with buttered hands.
    Cool; cut into bars.
    Makes 24 bars.
