Blue Ribbon Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. plain flour
    1 egg
    1 1/4 tsp. soda
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. tart diced apples
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans, chopped (optional)
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Beat in eggs, then add nuts, apples and vanilla.
    Spread and bake in buttered 8-inch pie pan at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
