Reception Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large pkg. jello (orange, pineapple or lemon)
    1 (29 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 (3 oz.) jar pimento, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, finely chopped
    2/3 c. pecans, chopped
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    dash of salt (optional)
Preparation
    Drain pineapple; heat juice to boiling point.
    Stir in gelatin until dissolved.
    Add other ingredients.
    Pour into circular mold. Chill.
    Unmold onto bed of lettuce.
    Serve with hot Parker House rolls and coffee.
