Lemon Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter or margarine
    3 eggs
    3 1/4 c. cake flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. grated lemon rind
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Cream butter well with sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Mix in flour and baking soda alternately with the buttermilk until blended. Stir in lemon peel and lemon juice. Spread in greased and floured 10 x 4-inch tube pan. Bake 1 hour in a preheated 325\u00b0 oven.
