Moey'S Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 gal. June apples, soft
    7 qts. sugar
    1 large can ground cinnamon
    1 small can ground cloves, add to taste
Preparation
    Using a lard can, put apples that have been cored, quartered and peeled in can. Pour sugar on top, covering apples. Place lid on can and let it sit over night. Cook apples next morning for 3 hours, or until apples are tender. Remove from stove. Using a potato masher, mash apples while adding cinnamon and ground cloves. Pack into hot jars and seal.
