Black-Eyed Peas Mexicana - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hot sausage
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 garlic clove, chopped
    2 (16 oz.) cans black-eyed peas
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Brown sausage; drain and crumble.
    Saute onion and garlic with sausage.
    Add black-eyed peas, tomatoes, water, chili powder and salt.
    Simmer for 25 or 30 minutes.
