Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 (5 3/4 oz.) pkg. Hershey's Kisses
Preparation

Cream together shortening, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar until blended.
Add egg and vanilla.
Beat well.
Blend in dry ingredients.
Shape scant teaspoon of dough into balls.
Roll in sugar and place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Remove from oven.
Top each cookie with Kiss, pressing down until cookie cracks.
Makes about 6 dozen.
