Seven Layer Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 can whole kernel corn, drained
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    3/4 sauce can water
    1/4 to 1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/4 to 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
    3/4 lb. ground beef or turkey
    4 strips bacon, halved
Preparation
    Place rice and corn in layers in a 2-quart baking dish. Season to taste.
    Pour 1 can of tomato sauce and 1/2 can of water over the layers.
    Add layers of the onion and green pepper.
    Cover with a layer of seasoned meat.
    Pour remaining can of tomato sauce and 1/4 can of water over casserole.
    Top with bacon strips. Cover; bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer.
    Yields 6 servings.
