Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sifted flour
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. water or milk
    1 can whole kernel corn, drained
    cooking oil
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients and mix well.
    Combine remaining ingredients except oil and stir into dry ingredients.
    Drop by tablespoons into hot oil (375\u00b0).
    Fry until golden brown turning once.
    Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
    Makes twelve 2-inch fritters.
