Date Nut Fingers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    2 c. white sugar
    2 c. chopped dates
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 tsp. vanilla
    5 c. Rice Krispies
    coconut
Preparation
    Melt margarine; add sugar, eggs, dates and nuts.
    Bring to a boil; continue cooking at a slow boil for 10 minutes.
    Add vanilla and stir well.
    Pour mixture over Rice Krispies.
    Shape into logs or balls and roll in coconut.
    Store in sealed container in refrigerator.
