Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
6 egg yolks
4 c. sifted plain flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. sour cream
6 egg whites
2 c. blackberry jam
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg yolks, one at a time, mixing well.
Stir in jam, add flour which has been sifted with spices, alternately with sour cream and ending with flour.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake in four 9-inch layers in 350\u00b0 oven until center springs back when pressed with finger.
(May also be baked in a tube pan.)
Frost with Never Fail Frosting.
