Liver And Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. liver (chicken, beef or pork)
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
    1 c. flour
    salt and pepper
    1/2 c. oil
    2 or 3 onions (depends on size)
Preparation
    Place liver in a strainer. Let cold water run over liver to wash it until it's clear. Place oil in skillet. Heat it slowly. Mix milk and egg; beat well. In another bowl, mix flour, salt and pepper. Place liver in milk mixture, then dip well in flour mixture. Place in hot oil. Turn stove to medium or lower. Cook until liver is brown on both sides, then place your sliced onions on top. Add 1/2 cup water. Cover and simmer 1/2 hour. Turn over once while it steams.
