Pumpkin Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. pumpkin puree
4 eggs
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Place sugar, oil and pumpkin in large mixer bowl and beat well at medium speed.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon and salt together and fold into batter.
Stir in nuts and raisins.
Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours or until done.
Do not open oven door under 1 hour.
Let cool slightly in pan before turning onto cake rack.
