Good Corn Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 10) can whole kernel corn, drained
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 c. onion, chopped
    2 (4 oz.) cans pimento
    3 c. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1/4 c. salt or more to taste
    2 cloves garlic
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients; bring to a boil and simmer 10 minutes.
    Thicken with 1/4 cup cornstarch, dissolved in 1/2 cup water.
    Bring to boil again.
    Seal in jars, 6 or 7 pints.
    I make this at Christmas time and use it for gifts.
