Jalapeno Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 large new potatoes
6 slices bacon
1 red onion, chopped
4 tsp. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. cider vinegar
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. minced parsley
1/2 tsp. celery seed
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. jalapeno peppers, finely minced
Preparation

Steam potatoes until tender.
Cool slightly and cut into large pieces.
Transfer to a large serving bowl.
Cook bacon very crisp and mince.
Pour off all but 2 tablespoons bacon grease and return bacon to pan with onion.
Cook about 1 minute, then stir in flour and sugar.
Gradually mix in vinegar and water and stir over low heat until mixture thickens.
Pour the sauce over the potatoes; sprinkle with parsley, celery seed and peppers.
Serve warm or chilled.
