Christmas Cookie Canes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. soft butter
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 c. uncooked quick oats
candied cherries, halved
Preparation

With electric mixer, cream together butter, salt, vanilla and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. At low speed, add flour and oats until just mixed. Form dough into large or small canes. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Place cherry halves on canes and bake in a preheated 325\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
