Pinto Bean Pan Supper - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 lb. ground beef
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 can pinto beans
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 Tbsp. chopped green peppers
    1 can tomatoes
Preparation
    Cook onion and pepper in shortening until tender.
    Add ground beef and brown.
    Add tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes. Add pinto beans and seasonings; simmer for 10 minutes.
    Serve with warm cornbread.
