Chicken Chow Mein - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
3 c. diagonally sliced celery
1/2 c. sliced green onions
2 1/2 c. hot chicken broth
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 c. cold water
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
3 1/4 c. chopped, cooked chicken
1 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
2 (6 oz.) cans mushrooms, drained
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can chow mein noodles
Preparation

Heat vegetable oil in a deep, heavy cooking pot.
Add celery and onion; stir-fry over moderate heat until onion is transparent, but not brown.
Add chicken broth; cover and cook over low heat 4 to 5 minutes.
