Lemon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 egg yolks
    1/2 c. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1/3 c. fresh lemon juice
    1 tsp. grated lemon rind
Preparation
    Mix sugar, salt and cornstarch together in a saucepan.
    Add hot water, switch to hot until steaming; turn to low and cook until thick and clear.
    Stir constantly 6 minutes.
    Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup of this hot mixture into the egg yolks, stir this back into pan with the rest of hot mixture.
    Cook for 6 more minutes on warm, stirring constantly.
    Remove and add lemon juice and lemon rind.
    Cool, pour into cool baked pie shell and top with meringue.
